Centre4 Warm Spaces

At Centre4 we provide a welcoming environment where you can come and enjoy pleasant company and our fantastic range of facilities and activities.

Our Warm Spaces can provide a great opportunity to make savings on the cost of your heating bills at home.

You can come and pick up one of our books and have a read, make use of our free computer access, meet a friend or use any of our facilities.

Warm Spaces at Centre4

Our Community Café is open Monday to Friday for: –
Breakfast 8am -11.30am
Lunch 12pm – 2pm
Hot meals cost £2.50 for non-members and children eat for free.
Beyond 2pm the community may use the space, tea, coffee and cake which is usually available  up to 3pm beyond which refreshments can be purchased at our vending machines.

Community Events
Bingo every Thursday evening. Great prizes to be won and you can enjoy an evening of socialising and fun with other bingo fanatics.
Families are welcome, but children must be accompanied by an adult and parents are responsible for their own children.
(These are very busy sessions, so please contact reception).

A range of events are being planned throughout the winter and these include Televising of large sporting events, Children’s Christmas party (bookings via reception), Feature length Cartoon films for families and much more.

Community groups and other organisations provide a range of events that operate within Centre4 which include sewing, photography, weight management and growing fruit and veg.  Please contact reception for further details on how to book into these sessions.

Community Gym
If you want to improve your fitness levels why not use our Community Gym & Equipment.  If you join the Centre4 Community Gym you can become a Centre4 Fitness member now for less than £1 a month!

Sports Hall for Hire
Our sports hall is available for hire now Monday to Friday 9am – 8pm. This space is perfect for indoor sports activities such as curling, exercise classes, football, archery and much more.
We have recently added badmington to our facilities at Centre4 and will be looking to add more into 2023..

  • find temporary and permanent jobs,
  • gain the right skills for local job opportunities through training
  • get valuable experience and build confidence through community projects and overcome barriers they may have, either getting, or staying in, employment

The Community Shop  @Centre4 provide less than retail prices for fresh food and cupboard staples

If you live in the community or around the area and are on a means tested benefit (like JSA, ESA, Housing Benefit, Council Tax Support) then get in touch. If you aren’t sure if you can become a member – just come into Centre4 and ask or get in touch with the Community Shop direct, they would love to talk to you.

CLIMB 4, an innovative user-led, social enterprise. Their skilled and experienced team are passionate about delivering creative learning, well-being and training programmes within our local community.
Based in the Centre4 building in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire the programmes and services they provide are holistic in their approach, offering a person-centred service that encourages social inclusion, informal education, health and well-being.
They make their programmes and activities as accessible as possible, removing barriers and providing opportunities including, volunteering, peer mentoring and trainee roles. They are intergenerational, working with children, young people, families, and individuals.

Nunny’s Farm CIC is a local petting farm and community-run business in the former playing fields in the rear of Centre4, they offer a great day out for families and a number of fun activities.

CPO
Currently work with adult community members who will not engage with traditional learning, NEETs and troubled families. They offer a range of non-accredited and accredited training in order to give individuals the opportunity to re-engage with learning and/or work.

Boxercise lessons
Another way to get fit adn develop a healthy lifesyle every Monday and Wednesday evening.
Monday’s session requires no booking and costs £4; times 7pm – 8pm
Wednesday’s session is Bounce, Box and Burn, however this is a bookable class as places are limited.  It runs from 7pm-8pm and costs £5

Butterflies Mums
Butterflies Mums volunteers make home visits or have contact with families each week supporting mums and their families in differing situations. They provide a listening ear and offer non-judgemental, practical and emotional support, and help to build confidence and coping skills.
